Mixing is a highly specific art form that takes years of experience to learn and perfect. Engineers will use tools like compression, equalization, volume leveling, reverb, and delays to process individual tracks to make them come to life in your final vision of the song.
Have you had your music mixed by someone, and you were not completely happy? Did you listen on your computer and it sounded 'ok,' but when you heard in your car, it was muddy or even piercing in your ears. These are all signs that you need an experienced mixing engineer. I want you to be able to listen over and over again to your song and be proud of what you created.
Targeted EQ for balancing and removing unwanted frequencies
The use of compression to control dynamic and create energy.
Creative and musical touches of FX's (reverb, delay other fx to enhance your song)
Advance Automation to enhance emotion
Stereo spatial widening as needed
Revisions
High Quality Stereo 44.100 kHz 16 bit .wav and .mp3 files
Firstly you would need to contact me so I can best determine your needs.
After we have talked through your project and payment is complete you can send me your files.
For MIXING AND MASTERING, you can send us your Pro Tools session, or you can send us .wav files. If sending .wav files, please make sure that all the individual track are the same length. This ensures all the tracks will line up correctly for mixing. I prefer that you send two sets of files in separate folders. One 'wet' as you hear it in your session and one 'dry' where you remove all EQ, Compression, and Reverb. If you have musical elements that have special processing like chorus, flanger or delays, you are welcome to send us a dry and wet version, no limiting. Please make sure that the wet tracks are labeled so that we can choose between the appropriate track. Also please make sure each track has an individual name. This way, we will know it is not a duplicate track and should be in the session. When sending the files, please name the folder 'ArtistName_SongName_BPM.zip (e.g., TheBlackRose_Infinte_130BPM.zip). We recommend using WeTransfer.com to send your files. If you need help exporting your tracks from your specific DAW check out your user guide or search YouTube - how to export tracks from (your DAW), please make sure that the individual tracks and folder are all correctly named, and include your original demo mix and your mix notes.
For MASTERING ONLY, send us a stereo audio file at the best quality available. Again, no plugins are preferred. Please, no limiting on the mix bus! Light stereo compression is ok. Please allow approx. 6 dBs of headroom so that we can do the best job possible.
If you are still unsure please contact us.
Please make sure that your engineer completes all vocal tuning at the time of recording. Although I can tune vocals, it is typically much, much cheaper if you take the lead and do this at the time of production.
Mastering
Mastering is a critical, final step in getting your music to the stage. This step, makes your music sound loud, punchy and giving it the pristine sound you hear time and again on the radio.

Yes. Mastering is essential to make sure that the song has gone through the final stages for release and that all levels have been check and evened out, that no frequencies are interfering and that your music will translate well on all playback systems. Mastering is needed for artists who are working on an Album or EP. There is nothing worse than having one song that is quieter than the others. These are some of the major issues I find on most independent artist EPs and Albums.
Mastering is a pivotal step for any song to be released to the public. It is the final step before releasing and sometimes enhance your song to its fullest potential. A great mastering engineer knows when he has to dig into your song to fix specific frequency issues, or when to leave it alone.
You will receive a 44.1 kHz 16-bit stereo .wav file
High quality 320 kbps mp3
Proper fading and spacing between tracks
Specific Equalization to correct or enhance your song
